Kurz již proběhl. Dojmy z konference a kurzu shrnula účastnice Lucie Sovová: Degrowth Conference Začátkem září proběhla v německém Lipsku už čtvrtá mezinárodní konference o ekonomickém nerůstu. O rostoucí aktuálnosti tohoto tématu vypovídala velikost akce i počet návštěvníků – během pěti dnů proběhlo přes 550 přednášek, debat, workshopů a dalších událostí, kterých se zúčastnilo více než 3000 lidí. Navzdory tomu se organizátorům a účastníkům podařilo vytvořit přátelskou a uvolněnou atmosféru. Ocenila jsem různorodost formátů od tradičních přednášek ve velkých sálech po diskuse v malých skupinách, semináře open space nebo umělecká vystoupení.             Kurz již proběhl. Dva zajímavé projekty, které účastníci navštívili v rámci kurzu, představuje Markéta Vinkelhoferová: Továrna VIOME v rukou pracovníků Býval to závod na výrobu stavebních materiálů u řecké Soluně, dnes pytle s cementem tvoří jen kulisu nové, úplně jiné etapy. Jejich prošlá záruční doba dokresluje, že je to více jak tři roky, kdy se zadlužený majitel rozhodl provoz zavřít. Zaměstnanci jsou od května 2011 bez výplaty, ale přesto stále drží výrobnu ve svých rukou. Rozhodli se tak společně. Zatímco se o osudu továrny se stále vedou soudní spory, zaměstnanci zde vyrábějí čisticí prostředky z olivového oleje. ... číst více

The Belgian course “Social dimension of agroecology – City and countryside”  will take place in Brussels and Namur in November 11-16. The Belgian course is  builded in two parts: –  The first three days 11-13/11 will take place in a ecovillage called “la ferme de Wevy-Weron” on the countryside where the participants will be part of the life of  the 40 inhabitants living there (Old farmhouse +  Self-made woodhouses + Houses in the trees +… . The course “Resilient food production and distribution” will be divided into 2 parts: 1) A two and a half days international open conference in Warsaw that will be dedicated to general degrowth topics but strongly connected with agriculture (like: global financial system and alternatives to it; modern agriculture and food sovereignty, energy decentralization and energy sovereignty; growth, culture and thinking structures). 2) A two and a half days course/workshop on the countryside with some practical work. Course content (abstract): In this course we will explore via different methologies and experiences, as well as from the evalution from already ongoing ( transition) projects in a small town in Germany, Witzenhausen, which suffers from big debt payments, the power of community and ways of community building. Degrowth public policies module is focused on defining and exemplifying what are Public Policies within the premises of degrowth, and on how citizens can organize themselves and develop co-management systems to produce public goods.  The objective is to end up with a concrete proposal for Montemor-o-Novo in terms of implementation of degrowth policies. Local agents will be at the core of this module as they have been developing projects in the last decades already within what could be conceived as degrowth projects, knowing in practice the needs and challenges associated with their implementation in this region.
